Yolanda Bonnell (she / they) est une conteuse bi / queer 2-Spirit de la Première Nation de Fort William aux origines mixtes anishinaabe-ojibwé et sud-asiatique. Sa pièce bug (2020) a été nominée pour quatre Dora Mavor Moore Awards, tandis que la version publiée a été nominée pour un Prix littéraire du Gouverneur général. Yolanda a remporté un Tom Hendry Drama Award (Playwrights Guild of Canada) pour sa pièce My Sister’s Rage (2022) et est fière de fonder sa pratique sur la création reliée au territoire, puisant son énergie et son inspiration de la terre et de ses ancêtres.

Yolanda Bonnell (she / they) is a Bi / Queer 2-Spirit Anishinaabe-Ojibwe, South Asian mixed storyteller from Fort William First Nation. Her play bug (2020) was nominated for four Dora Mavor Moore Awards, while the published version was shortlisted for a Governor General’s Literary Award. Yolanda won a Tom Hendry Drama Award (Playwrights Guild of Canada) for her play My Sister’s Rage (2022), and proudly bases her practice in land-based creation, drawing on energy and inspiration from the earth and her ancestors.
